Table 12 - The earthly and the heavenly Jerusalem. (LANDSCAPE)

IN THE MILLENNIUM

IN THE NEW CREATION

For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
and the former things will not be remembered or
come to mind.

No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a
few days, or an old man who does not live out his
days; for the youth will die at the age of one hundred
and the one who does not reach the age of one
hundred will be thought accursed.

All the land will be changed into a plain from Geba
to Rimmon south of Jerusalem;

But Jerusalem will rise and remain on its site from
Benjamin’s Gate as far as the place of the First Gate
to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel
to the king’s wine presses.

These shall be its (Jerusalem's) measurements:
the north side 4,500 cubits, the south side 4,500
cubits, the east side 4,500 cubits, and the west side
4,500 cubits (around 2.200 m).

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat
upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven
fled away, and no place was found for them.

Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake
of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for
the first heaven and the first earth passed away,
and there is no longer any sea.

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great
and high mountain, and showed me the holy city,
Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

The city is laid out as a square, and its length
is as great as the width; and he measured the
city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles (around
2.200 km
)
; its length and width and height are equal.

IN THE MILLENNIUM

IN THE NEW CREATION

And the glory of the LORD came into the house by
the way of the gate facing toward the east.

No longer will you (Zion) have the sun for light by day,
nor for brightness will the moon give you light;
but you will have the LORD for a light in world-time,
(Buber) and your God for your glory.

And it shall be from new moon to new moon and
from Sabbath to Sabbath, all mankind will come
to bow down before Me, says the LORD.

Your gates will be open continually; they will
not be closed day or night,

So that men may bring to you the wealth of the
nations, with their kings led in procession.

Then all your people will be righteous;
they will possess the land forever, the branch
of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may
be glorified.

Then he brought me back to the door of the house;
and behold, water was flowing from under the
threshold of the house toward the east.

I saw no temple in it (the city), for the Lord
God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

And there will no longer be any night; and they
will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the
light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine
them; and they will reign forever and ever.

The nations will walk by its (the city) light, and the
kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.

In the daytime (for there will be no night there)
its gates will never be closed;

And they will bring the glory and the honor
of the nations into it;

And nothing unclean, and no one who practices
abomination and lying, shall ever come into it,
but only those whose names are written
in the Lamb’s book of life.

Then he showed me a river of the water of life,
clear as crystal, coming from the throne of
God and of the Lamb,

By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other,
will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will
not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear
every month because their water flows from the
sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their
leaves for healing.

Ezk
47,12;

In the middle of its street. On either side of the
river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of
fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves
of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

There will no longer be any curse; and the throne
of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His
bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His
face, and His name will be on their foreheads.

And there will no longer be any night; and they
will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the
light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine
them; and they will reign forever and ever.
