one city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes. 10,24 A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. 10,25 It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household! 10,26a Therefore do not fear them,

24,15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet (Dan 9,27), standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 24,16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 24,17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 24,18 Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 24,19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 24,20 But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 24,21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 24,22 Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. |
13,14a But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), 13,14b then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 13,15 The one who is on the housetop must not go down, or go in to get anything out of his house; 13,16 and the one who is in the field must not turn back to get his coat. 13,17 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 13,18 But pray that it may not happen in the winter. 13,19 For those days will be a time of tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will. 13,20 Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. |
21,20 But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near. 21,21a Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, 21,21b and those who are in the midst of the city must leave, 21,21c and those who are in the country must not enter the city; 21,22 because these are days of vengeance, so that all things which are written will be fulfilled. 21,23 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people; 21,24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. 17,22 And He said to the disciples, The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. |

here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. 24,24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. 24,25 Behold, I have told you in advance. 24,26 So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them.

‘Behold, here is the Christ’ or, ‘Behold, He is there’ do not believe him; 13,22 for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect. 13,23 But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance.

of those days 24,29b the sun will be darkened, 24,29c and the moon will not give its light, 24,29d and the stars will fall from the sky, 24,29e and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

21,25b in sun 21,25c and moon 21,25d and stars, 21,25e and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, 21,26b for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

be just like the days of Noah. 24,38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 24,39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. |
|
Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 17,27 they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; 17,29 but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. |
Matthew (Mt 10,17-26; 24,1-51;) |
Mark (Mk 13,1-37;) |
Luke (Lk 17,22-37; 21,5-36;) |
24,41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. 24,40 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 24,28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. |
|
the Son of Man is revealed. 17,31 On that day, the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not go down to take them out; and likewise the one who is in the field must not turn back. 17,32 Remember Lot’s wife. 17,33 Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left. 17,35 There will be two women grinding at the same place; one will be taken and the other will be left. 17,36 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 17,37a And answering they said to Him, Where, Lord? 17,37b And He said to them, Where the body is, there also the vultures will be gathered. |

Luke (Lk 17,22-37; 21,5-36;) |
not know which day your Lord is coming. 24,43 But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 24,44 For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. |
do not know when the appointed time will come. 13,34 It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert. 13,35 Therefore, be on the alert – for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning - 13,36 in case he should come suddenly and find you asleep. 13,37 What I say to you I say to all, ‘Be on the alert!’ |
not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; 21,35 for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. 21,36 But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. |

slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? 24,46 Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. 24,47 Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 24,48 But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is not coming for a long time,’ 24,49 and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards; 24,50 the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know, 24,51 and will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. |
